IT HAS BEEN RAINING SINCE DECEMBER 31.

It's been storming for most of the day so all of the New Year's Eve celebrations have been cancelled.

Perfect end for this shit year, really.

It is December 23 and 68F outside.

ETA: now it's 75F. It was 32F four days ago.

This has been a terrible, confusing year, and I’m so fucking tired of it.

I feel terrible for everyone who has been or will be affected by Hurricane Matthew, but at the same time I am so fucking happy it's not coming here, and I feel so guilty for feeling like that.

Four adults in a two bedroom apartment with 1 bed and 1 bathroom, a cat, and a dog: not fun.

However, throughout this entire catastrophe, I have known almost the whole time where everyone in my family is, and they've always been safe. So, I'm thankful for that.

So my parents' street flooded. They left before it reached their house, so no idea about the house. Them and my aunt are at my apt now; had to leave my aunt's two dogs behind, so that's heartbreaking. There wasn't enough room in the cars.
